WAYS TO GIVE

Ways To Give

1. Make a donation now.

As a community of caring, we can have a profound impact on the future of our children and their families!

With just a few clicks, you can create positive memories for a child living in poverty in Chicago’s northwest and western suburbs. Every penny counts – whether it's an educational field trip, a donation of computers and printers, a winter holiday shopping tour, a warm winter coat and mittens, or a basket of non-perishable food for Thanksgiving.

Thanks to donors just like you, WACO has made a difference for thousands of disadvantaged children and their families, and the agencies that serve them. Please consider making an online gift of any amount today.

6. Get Your Company Involved

Our corporate partners are our lifeline, and your time and generous contributions ensure WACO will continue to develop and implement our community programs and commitments. You can:

  • • Coordinate a workplace volunteer group to support our agency partners or a WACO fundraiser or charity drive.
  • • Demonstrate your company’s commitment to the community and build brand awareness by sponsoring a WACO event. We can create a program to meet your needs.
  • • Organize a back-to-school supply or coat drive for the kids.

7. Group Lunch & Learn

Host a WACO representative at your office or group activity for a short presentation on the history and work of Woodfield Area Children's Organization, followed by a group-led service project. Our current program is designed to provide children at our partnership agencies with weekend bags filled with items such as: coloring and activity books, socks, gloves, non-perishable food items, toiletries, etc. A full list of acceptable items will be provided prior to your group activity.

This activity can be tailored to accommodate your group size and schedule.  For more information, please fill out our contact form, and a WACO representative will be in touch.

8. Raise Funds through a Walk, Race, or Other Event

Create your own fundraising campaign—the possibilities are endless. Here are a few ideas:

  • • Host a dinner party and ask your guests to donate to WACO instead of bringing a dish.
  • • Run a marathon and have friends sponsor your effort by donating to WACO.
  • • Invite friends and family to make a donation to WACO in your honor instead of giving birthday, wedding or holiday gifts.
  • • Start a Facebook fundraising campaign to support WACO – it's easy! Facebook gets you started and gives you tips to reach your goal. Then, share it with friends, who can donate to WACO – with just a few clicks – without leaving Facebook. Click here to get started.
  • • Create your own event (a sporting event, family walk, or any family get-together at a restaurant) to fundraise for WACO. Need help or resources? Contact info@waco4kids.org.
