WACO's Wish List

The following is a list of things we need. The list is in no particular order.

If you can help with any of these things please contact:

WACO needs:

…someone to pay for the cost of a mailing. About 4-5 times a year we have a large mailing. Currently two companies are sharing the cost of this. We would like to add another to the list to help ease the load.

…a warehouse or office space we can use to store things, or someone to cover the cost of a storage unit. We all work out of our own homes, so do not have office space of our own that we can use.

…a space where we can host a charity drive, such as a one- or two-day children’s boot drive in Sept., used toy drive in spring, or school supplies drive in August. WACO does not own a brick and mortar building.

…someone who can create online fill-in forms so that our scholarship applicants can simply type in their answers on the application and submit it online.

…someone to create a program for us to use for bidding at our fundraisers. In lieu of that, we need someone to foot the bill to use such a program.

…we already have one volunteer graphic artist, but we need a second one. We have several projects this year. It would be great if we could spread the work around and not put everything on one person’s shoulders.

…someone to fund backpacks and school supplies for 100 impoverished students.

…a small flatbed trailer we can hitch to the back of one of our vehicles for use in the Septemberfest parade on Labor Day. It should be similar in size to what you used for your homecoming float in high school. It needs a solid, flat bottom with no sides, or railings that you can see through so that people can see what is on the trailer.

…a grant writer to explore grant opportunities for WACO.

…new board members. Since we are a hands-on, all-volunteer board, we require all prospective board members to work on a committee or two before submitting your resume for approval.
