A WORD ABOUT WACO


WACO was first conceived in 1979 and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) group in 1993. We are an all-volunteer charity with 97 cents of every dollar raised going directly to help children living at or below poverty level.

WACO partnered with the Children’s Home & Aid Society of Illinois to build the Schaumburg Child + Family Center.  It opened in June, 2010.  The center subsidizes daycare for 110 children and is the first of its kind in the northwest suburbs.

The Woodfield Area Children’s Organization was first conceived in 1979.  WACO incorporated on April 22, 1993 for the purpose of acting as a charitable and educational organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
